Switch to solar energy
Solar panels are an accessible eco-social solution that can change your life!
- Excess power generated during the day is fed back into the power grid in exchange for
Hydro-Québec credits - Improve your energy resilience and reduce dependence on the grid
- Produce and consume your own electricity and store excess power in preparation for power outages
- Requires installation of a second electrical panel for the critical loads, which
would be automatically powered by the battery.
How much does a solar system cost?
Starting price: $35,000, installation included
Installation complete with a 5 kW AC power inverter, 10 kWh lithium battery storage system and 5 kW solar array (solar panels). This type of installation should produce, on average, enough power to cover 15% of your total energy needs.Starting price: $55,000, installation included
Installation complete with a 12 kW AC power inverter, 20 kWh lithium battery storage system and 10 kW solar array (solar panels). This installation should produce, on average, enough power to cover 30% of your total energy needs.Government grants have been created to help promote the transition to green energy,

Helping you save energy and make your home more comfortable
The government of Canada wants to help Canadians make where they live more energy efficient. The Canada Greener Homes Initiative will help homeowners save money, create new jobs across Canada for energy advisors, and fight climate change.
How much could you be eligible to receive?
The maximum amount for this grant is $5,000.
This translates to an eligible amount of $1,000 per kW for installing photovoltaic (PV) solar panels with a capacity of ≥1.0 kW of direct current power.
The grant amount is prorated based on the capacity that the installation adds to your house. For example, adding 3.5 kW of photovoltaic capacity to your house would make you eligible for a $3,500 grant.
The grant program includes funding for batteries
The Canada Greener Homes Grant also allocates funds for resiliency measures. These measures include batteries for photovoltaic solar systems that provide homes with emergency power. This funding can go up to $1,000.
Do you know the federal Clean Technology (CT) Investment Tax Credit (ITC)?
The CT ITC is a refundable tax credit for capital invested in the adoption and operation of new clean technology (CT) property in Canada from March 28, 2023, to December 31, 2034.
